Insurance FAQs
Ronald C. Naso, Ph.D., ABPP
Stamford, CT
1. Are your services covered by my insurance?
In most instances, yes. I am a licensed psychologist who is covered by most insurance policies. However, I work exclusively as an out-of-network provider and do not accept assigned benefits. This means that you must handle all insurance matters directly with your carrier who, in turn, reimburses you according to the terms of your policy. Policies vary significantly and you should check with your insurance company to determine the extent of your mental health benefits, your annual deductible, and whether your sessions need to be pre-authorized. This is especially important with regard to psychological, neuropsychological, and/or psychoeducational evaluations which may not be covered in the same way as treatment services.
2. Do you participate in any HMO panels?
No, I do not.
